In August 2018, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated the overall quality of care provided at Kingston Hospital as ‘Outstanding’, following its latest inspection. Everyone involved with the hospital acknowledges that this is not a time to stand still, but to move forward and build on the CQC’s outstanding rating. As its official partner charity, this means raising the monies needed to: fund high quality clinical research; help transform parts of the hospital estate that require additional investment to create patient-centred spaces, designed to deliver the best quality of care possible; purchase the latest medical equipment for better diagnosis and treatment; and recognise the dedication and caring commitment of staff, by supporting their development and wellbeing.
Currently our focus is on developing a two storey-extension, expanding the Royal Eye Unit at ground floor level, while creating a new paediatric oncology day care suite at first floor level, which is self-contained but linked to the rest of the paediatric department. We’d love your help with this project – for further information please click on the links below:
This winter we are also hoping to help secure four equipment items for the hospital’s surgical wards and maternity, ophthalmology and paediatric services – for further information please click on the link below:
