Don’t miss our special memory walk, Night to Remember, which will take place this year on Saturday 7 September 2024 at 7pm.
With a choice of five or 13 miles, Night to Remember is our special charity walk that offers family and friends the chance to come together and celebrate the life of a loved one, whilst walking through the night. A fun thing to do, entry includes a medal as well as refreshments.
Justine Sweet, General Manager (Specialist Surgery, Specialist Outpatients & Cancer Services) & Head of Audiology at Kingston Hospital, was one of those who took part in the inaugural event last year, and explained:
“I walked with a group of my colleagues in memory of Aslam Mussa. His unexpected passing was such a shock to all who knew and loved him. As we walked through the night, we reflected on our memories with both laughter and tears, whilst raising over £1,470 in his name. What a fabulous event.”
Registration takes place at the Guildhall, as each supervised walk will start and finish in Kingston’s Market Place. Starting at 7pm, the two routes are specially designed to ensure that the walk is scenic but takes place on firm ground.
If you are not sure which route to undertake, we suggest an average walker will less than two hours to complete the five-mile route.
Looking for a fun thing to do in Kingston, register now.
£20 for adults | £10 for children

The registration fee helps cover the costs involved in organising this event including your medal, etc. and proceeds will help us extend our bereavement services at Kingston Hospital.
Dr Laura Nightingale, Consultant and Clinical Lead Specialist Palliative Care said:
“Excellent end of life care doesn’t stop when a patient dies. Grief and bereavement can feel overwhelming and isolating; we want the families of our patients to know that they’re not alone and for them to feel supported on their journey, maximising the chance of a healthy and happy future.”
We are asking each participant to raise as much sponsorship as possible. While there is no minimum sponsorship, we kindly ask each participant to try and raise £100 to help improve the care our hospital is able to provide to bereaved families. However, we are extremely grateful for any amount raised. To set up your fundraising page, please
Please sign-up today for this special sponsored walk and go the extra mile for our hospital.
