Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital supporting around 350,000 people in Kingston, Richmond, Elmbridge (Surrey), Merton, Wandsworth and Sutton. It has approximately 450 acute and general beds, and directly employs about 3,200 staff.

The hospital cares for more than half a million patients a year. Typically, in any one year it:

treats around 130,000 patients in A&E

delivers nearly 5,000 babies

cares for approximately 70,000 admitted patients

undertakes about 445,000 outpatient appointments

In the 2022-23 financial year, charitable income totalled £2,266,000 (in 2021-22 it was £2,417,000), while expenditure amounted to £1,647,000 (in 2021-22 it was £2,298,000), as summarised below. Fundraising costs as a percentage of income was 12.6%.

Kingston Hospital Charity’s office is located at the front of the hospital, between the main entrance and the Sir William Rous Unit. It’s open Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
