Thanks to the many individuals who generously donated over the summer, Kingston Hospital took delivery of six specialist riser recliner chairs for its three elderly care wards in mid-December. These additional recliner chairs will ensure the hospital meets the Chief Nursing Officer’s ‘gold standard’ of sitting all patients out of bed every day.  Doing so improves their quality of life, independence and dignity, while reducing their length of stay.
