We would like to say a big thank you to the team at Good-Loop and their advertising partners who successfully raised over £20,000 for Kingston Hospital Charity through their Christmas online advertising campaign. People who chose to watch an ad for 15 seconds or more unlocked a free donation to Kingston Hospital Charity on behalf of the advertiser.
The funds raised will enable two interactive projection systems to be purchased, one mobile for Kingston Hospital’s new children’s oncology unit that opens in January 2024, and the other a fixed one for the new play area in the Royal Eye Unit. These projectors will provide an extensive range of interactive, stimulating, and physical games for the children being cared for in these respective units. Their acquisition will help change the children’s experience, providing them with fun and engaging activities that put a smile on their faces during what can be a worrying and scary time in hospital.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, these entertainment systems have been enjoyed by patients on the hospital’s care of the elderly wards and inpatient children’s service for some time already. Both the children’s emergency department and the children’s dental service are also acquiring interactive projectors.
