Walk This Way is a fundraising event in support of Kingston Hospital Charity.
By taking part, you are committing to raising at least £100 to help bring new technology, comfort and innovation to local healthcare, ensuring our NHS can continue to provide outstanding care for Kingston and Richmond's community.
Starting your fundraising early will make it much easier to reach, or even exceed, your target.

1.Set Up Your JustGiving Page - Setting up a JustGiving page is the quickest and easiest way to begin collecting donations.
Create your fundraising page by clicking the button below and selecting “start fundraising”.
Register or log in with your existing Just Giving account details.
2. Increase your fundraising target – Your page target is automatically set at £100, but we know that past participants have been able to smash this with ease. If you want to maximise the difference that you can make to healthcare in your community, you can increase your target.
3. Share your personal story – take some time to personalise your profile to explain why you’re taking part in Walk This Way and why supporting Healthcare services in Kingston and Richmond is important to you.
4. Add photos and videos to help supporters connect with your journey. Adding your own photo and filming a short video on your phone to explain what the event is and why you are taking part is the best way to show your friends and family why they should sponsor you.
5. Donate to your own page - to get your fundraising started, donate to your own page to show your commitment to friends and family.
6. Share via email, social media and communication apps. Remember to share periodically, especially around the end of the month to remind friends and family to donate.
7. Post regular updates, especially when you hit milestones in your training or fundraising targets. You can do this update section at the bottom of your fundraising page. You can even link your Strava app and it will do this automatically for you.
8. Say thank you publicly – gratitude encourages others to donate too and posting ‘thank you’ publicly will remind those who intended to support you to do so.
If you need support, advice, or help setting up your Just Giving page, or if you would like additional tips to boost your fundraising, please feel free to contact the Supporter Giving Manager, Beth. You can email her at elizabeth.brown99@nhs.net.
