A huge thank you and congratulations to Melanie Symes who chose to support  Kingston Hospital Charity’s dementia care programme during her captaincy at Coombe Wood Golf Club during 2019. With the help of colleagues, Melanie raised nearly £5,200 through various events and fundraisers. The monies raised helped to fund the ‘added-value’ elements associated with the refurbishment of Kennet Ward to provide a dementia friendly environment that facilitates all types of functioning. The added-value elements included the flooring, wall finishes, lighting, art work, signage and social spaces.
