Surbiton High School's tribute to NHS staff

painted wall tiles celebrating the work of the NHS

Over the course of this year, members of Surbiton High School’s Gifted and Talented Art Club have been working towards producing a collaborative artwork for Kingston Hospital’s Garden of Reflection. The finished artwork is a ceramic tile mural, which bears the message ‘Thank You NHS’ and celebrates the hard work, devotion and compassion of every NHS worker during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Each tile has been handmade and hand-painted by over 30 students aged 11-15. They hope that the mural serves as a reminder to the staff of Kingston Hospital that their community is eternally grateful for all of their efforts and achievements this year.
