NHS staff members scale new heights

Two skydivers falling from blue sky

Roya Amirian and Gill Bernal, two members of staff at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, both said they were prepared to scale new heights to support Kingston Hospital Charity, and that is exactly what they did with a sponsored skydive.

Taking off from Salisbury Airport, their thrill-seeking challenge included free-falling at 125 mph for over 60 seconds followed by a parachuted glide whilst enjoying the stunning views which reach as far as the Isle of Wight.

Gill said “I felt like I was flying. It was scary and adrenaline-pumping. It was also so intense, as you see the ground thousands of feet below you and get this amazing perspective on the world. It was awesome to do, especially as I was raising money to support Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I am so grateful to my family, friends and NHS colleagues for sponsoring me to take on this challenge in aid of Kingston Hospital Charity.”
