Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, supporters of the Laurie Todd Foundation undertook walks with family and friends in various parts of the UK to raise funds for a three year research project taking place at Kingston Hospital and Kingston University, which is investigating the role of Human Papillomarvirus (HPV) in the development of upper gastrointestinal (oesophageal and gastric) cancer. Our thanks to all who took part, helping to raise over £5,000.
Laurie Todd died very suddenly in 2018, aged 69, from oesophageal cancer, only six weeks after his diagnosis. The Laurie Todd Foundation was set-up in his memory to fund research to aid the early diagnosis and treatment of oesophageal cancer.
The Laurie Todd Foundation’s next event is to take place on Thursday 24 June – a sculpture garden open day between 2 & 5pm at 5 Neville Avenue, New Malden. Click below for more information.
