Get involved with NHS 75 Kingston

The NHS marks 75 years of service this year and we are encouraging as many of you as possible to celebrate this milestone by taking on a fundraising challenge in support of your local hospital.

Since it was established on 5 July 1948, the NHS has grown into one of our most treasured institutions, albeit one under sustained pressure both in terms of service delivery and funding, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whether you are an individual, a community group or local company, there are many different ways you can get involved and raise money in support of Kingston Hospital. It may be that you would like to fundraise for a particular project or specific service within the hospital, helping to enhance care for the benefit of patients now and in the future.

Join Kingston Wheelers Cycle Club, Kingston Grammar School, Coombe Boys’ School and a number of other organisations that have or are planning how they are going to support NHS 75 Kingston during 2023.

I hope many people and organisations from across our community will want to get involved to celebrate this significant milestone for the NHS and join me and colleagues in fundraising for our local hospital. While I will be taking on the 100-mile cycle challenge that is RideLondon-Essex 100 at the end of May, I’m delighted that a number of local schools and community groups have committed to fundraise in support of Kingston Hospital as part of NHS 75 Kingston. Thank you very much to everyone that decides to get involved this year.
