To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS, 75 of Kingston Hospital’s staff signed-up to take part in one of three local Run UK events that were taking place during November 2018 – the Richmond Half-Marathon on 4 November, the Richmond 10k on 18 November and the Kingston 10k on 25 November.  There were some sizeable teams including 30 from Maternity and 11 from the Emergency Department.

With other local supporters, we had nearly 100 people in total running for Kingston Hospital Charity and together they raised nearly £18,000, which was a fantastic effort by everyone who took part – thank you so much!

There were a number of star performers including Lindy-Lee Folscher and Nicholas Marriage who both won their respective races. Fundraising performances worthy of mention included Governor Frances Kitson who raised £1,275, mum of two and fundraiser Samantha Moore who raised £2,300, Consultant Helen Matthews who raised £900 and James Howard from the Patient Liaison Advice Service who raised £1,300.
